Government signs new mining contract with Canadian company in Potosi

The government signed a contract with the Canadian New Pacific Metals to exploit important silver deposits in Potosí. An initial investment of $US 6 million is estimated, with the aim of producing about 10,000 tons of silver oxide per day. This will be carried out by New Pacific Metals’s subsidiary in Bolivia “Empresa Minera Alcira”.
