Industrialists reject any wage increase in 2020

The Departmental Chamber of Industries of La Paz (CADINPAZ) rejected any wage increase on the basis of the basic salary or the national minimum wage in the 2020 administration”, due to the “critical state of recession and illiquidity that threatens the very life of the productive apparatus in the country”.

SMEs will receive support of $217.3 million

The Program to Support Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises will have financing of Bs. 1.5 billion ($217.3 million). The President of the Central Bank of Bolivia, Guillermo Aponte, explained that this is a financial relief for micro and small entrepreneurs, in addition to the measures adopted by the Government, which include measures such as tax deferral or credit deferment in March, April and May, among others.

YPFB signs an interruptible contract with Petrobras

The state-owned oil company YPFB and Brazilian Petrobras signed an interruptible contract for the purchase and sale of gas, which will be valid from May 1 to 31 of this year. The executive president of the state oil company, Herland Soliz Montenegro, said the agreement signed with the neighboring country’s oil company, allows the integrity of the reservoirs to be preserved.
