The insurance market reached $524.9 mn in 2019

The insurance market in Bolivia grows at a steady pace, by November 2019, reached a Direct Net Cancellation Production of $524.9 million, which presents the following distribution:
General Insurance constituted 50.9% ($267.4 million). Bonds Insurance constituted 3.8% ($ 20.1 million). Obligatory Insurance constituted 4.3% ($ 22.6 million). Personal Insurance constituted 40.9% ($214.8 million). Social Security Insurance constituted 0.01%.

Bolivia boosts genetically modified seeds and could triple its grain production

The Government of Bolivia authorized the use of maize, sugar cane, algódon, wheat and soy (sic), genetically modified at its various events, aimed at supplying domestic consumption and external marketing, which would allow to triple in a few years of the current grain production in the country, stagnant in just over 4 million tons (3% of the total Argentine harvest). It expects an economic movement of 2.8 billion dollars, which would be distributed throughout the food production chain, with an important multiplier effect to energize the economy, value the land and generate more than 300 thousand direct and indirect jobs.

Three Bolivian airlines ask for a credit to survive

Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) manages resources to pay salaries and rent with the Fund for the Productive Industrial Revolution (Finpro) credit from the national government.
