Bolivia receives $330mn from the IMF in a currency swap

In government meetings with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington (USA), a foreign currency swap for up to 330 million dollars was agreed. Importantly, it’s transfer does not need the endorsement of the Legislative Assembly. It will use the resources to pay salaries, to attend to the demands of the health sector, to grant bonds and to alleviate the effects that the fires cause in the Bolivian Chaco and the Amazon.
