Bolivia achieves $63 million trade surplus in food

The trade balance in the food sector remains favourable for Bolivia. Until September of this year, according to the last report of Foreign Trade, carried out by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) the country registered a surplus of $us 63 million. The increase in exports of quinoa by 3.5%, bananas by 0.1% and chia by 23% stand out. And so did the commercialization of meat, which registered a rise of 218.9%. Food exports represent 11.7% of total foreign sales.
