The new Financial Program 2020 estimates a GDP contraction of 8.4%

To rebuild the country's economy after the coronavirus crisis, the Minister of Economy, Marcelo Montenegro, and the President of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB), Edwin Rojas, signed this Monday the Financial Program 2020-Second Review. This new program establishes a contraction of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of 8.4%; that is, 2.7 percentage points less than what set for this administration. Also, it projects a fiscal deficit of approximately 12.3% and inflation of 1.1% at the close of this 2020.

Beef exports to China grow 249.4%

In 10 months, the volume of Bolivian exports of beef has reached 12,344 tons (t), of which 82.7% of the total destine for the Chinese market, sales have shot up 249.4% between January and October this year compared to a similar period in 2019, shipments of Bolivian beef have almost quadrupled.
