Ichilo-Mamoré Waterway: Its reactivation could cost more than $70 mn

According to a study by the Service for the Improvement of Amazonian Navigation (Senema), the reactivation of the Ichilo-Mamoré Waterway could demand a budget of more than 70 million dollars because the river must dredge and at least three ports must d along the 1,400 kilometres of the road. The study, conducted in 2005, indicates that each port has a cost of more than 15 million dollars and dredging would demand 25 million.
