Bill would establish the phased withdrawal of AFP contributions
The Legislative Assembly already has a bill for the return of the Pension Fund Administrators (AFP) for discussion. The bill provides for authorizing staggered withdrawals or even up to 100% in persons with minimum contributions. Rains affect banana exports; losses estimated at $100,000 per day
The rains affecting the department of Cochabamba flooded some 1,345 hectares of banana plantations and affected 30 packing houses. It affected fruit production, and exports fell from 190 to 140 tonnes, representing a loss of at least $100,000 per day.
