Dam with $10.76 million investment halts construction at 85% completion in Santiváñez

The San Martín dam construction to supply water to the Santiváñez Industrial Park is 85% complete and expected to deliver in June of this year. However, the work paralyzed more than two months ago due to a lack of payment to the construction company. Construction of the dam began in 2015 with an initial budget of 75 million bolivianos ($10.76 mn, 80% financed by CAF, 18% by the Governor’s Office and the Industrial Park, and 2% by the Santiváñez Mayor’s Office.
