Exports: use of the waterway will lower transportation costs by 18% and save 12 days

Export cargo transportation through the Ichilo-Mamoré waterway, which has access to the Atlantic Ocean, will cost approximately 18 per cent less than the operation carried out by land to Pacific ports. The reduction in transportation costs is because the waterway will save 2,134 kilometres of road and 12 days.
